PRE-REGISTRATION

Registration Table: 6:00am-8:30am You will be checking athletes in against a list, ensuring all registered athletes are present and noting the no-shows.

Body Marking (6:00am - 8:30am)

Timing Chip Handout: 6:00am-8:30am Every athlete will be issued a specific timing chip. You will ensure that the athlete gets his or her specified chip.

ATHLETE SERVICES

Bike Mechanic (requires experience): 6:30am-10am. Assist athletes with any bike maintenance issues.

Massage (must be RMT): 9:00am-12:00pm. You will provide massages for returning athletes as needed. Set up at 9am.

SWIM

Lifeguard: 7:00am-10:00am. Carry triathlon official to check water temperature. Watch the swimmers and keep an eye out for safety. Pick up any struggling athletes.

Boat Driver: 7:00am-10:00am. Carry triathlon official to check water temperature. Watch the swimmers and keep an eye out for safety. Pick up any struggling athletes.

Swim Start Athlete Check-in: 7:00am-10:00am. Read out names on megaphone and check that they are there for the start, check athletes off as they come out of the water. We provide Athlete Checklist.

BIKE

Dismount Line/Traffic Control: 7:00am-12pm. Warn bikers of when they need to dismount and monitor and direct traffic. Stop vehicles. We provide stop signs and safety vests.

Transition Gate Control: 7:30am-12:00pm. Make sure fans are not walking by when athletes are running through transition. Provide security for transition, so only athletes are accessing it.

Bike Turnaround: Checks a list of athletes as they reach the turnaround point for the bike

RUN

Lead Bike (needs experienced cyclist): 8:00am-12:00pm. Leads runners along run race route, and then bike back and forth checking for dehydrated or unwell athletes. Needs to be in good shape. You will need a cell phone to be able to contact race directors and medical director for assistance if there is an athlete in need of assistance. It is helpful to have a medical background.

Turnaround Checkpoints: 8:00am-12:00pm. Watch to make sure athletes go around turn around point, count athletes.
