World Qualifier Information

The Morden Triathlon is proud to host the following qualifying races for the 2021 ITU World Multisport Championships (Townsville, Australia):

  • Olympic (Standard) Cross Triathlon

  • Olympic (Standard) & Sprint distance Duathlon

  • Olympic (Standard) Aquabike

    • *Please note that although the Olympic Distance Aquabike at the Morden Triathlon will be the World Qualifier for Aquabike at the World Multisport Championships in 2021, the aquabike race there will be the Long Distance format, which specifies a swim between 1000m and 4000m and a bike between 100km and 200km*

A world championship spot in each age group (5 year age groups) for each of the above races will be awarded to the top finisher. Qualifying athletes must be present at the prize ceremony at 12:30pm to claim their spot. If the top athlete is not present or does not wish to attend the world competition, the spot "rolls down" to the next fastest athlete (athletes must finish in the Top 8 in their age group to be eligible for the roll-down spots). Qualifying athletes must be Canadian, and must be a full member in their provincial triathlon organization.

World qualifying races will be governed by ITU rules.

Athletes considering racing to qualify for a world spot should review the complete qualifications information and associated costs of attending the Worlds in 2021 prior to the race. Information can be found here.
